History

During the winter of 2002, we started informal jamming sessions of worship songs. It didn't really start out as a real serious "band", but more of a gathering with common interest to play music together for the praise and worship of God.

After a few months of practicing, we had our first chance to serve others with our music publicly. It was for the Chinatown Faith in Action (CFIA) fund-raising night on April 5th 2003. After that, still remaining unnamed, we continued to meet to jam and practice regularly every week.

Almost a year later, March 2004, we realized that God has blessed us with this fellowship and commitment to remain together to make music for Him. We decided to formalize ourselves, and named ourselves "one body"; Though we are from different churches and backgrounds, our focus in life and worship is Christ, who is our Head.

始於2002年冬，樂隊5人開始定期的音樂敬拜聚會。最初驅使大家走在一起的是對音樂的熱誠和一顆敬拜神的心。 大概三個月後，我們被邀請到【華人信心行動】於2003年4月5日的分享晚會中帶領詩歌，這是我們首次於公開場合參與事奉。 此後，樂隊繼續維持每星期練習聚會的習慣。至2004年3月的這一年間，我們經歷到神的保守：縱使沒有特別的活動或事奉機會，我們也委身於這些練習當中。所以，我們開始思索究竟神是否在這小組內有些美意。最後，我們決定正式命名為 “one body” 樂隊，盼望藉我們來自不同教會的組合，帶出基督是我們的頭，是我們生命和敬拜的中心的訊息。
